Nursing Program Director
Direct the activities associated with the Nursing Program. These activities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the details of program offerings, scheduling classes, lab operations, curriculum review, conducting advisory committee meetings, and making recommendations for faculty hiring, budgeting, and purchasing. May participate in classroom instruction.
- Administer the nursing education program.
- Facilitate and coordinate activities related to academic policies, personnel policies, curriculum, resources, facilities, services, and program evaluation.
- In conjunction with Campus Director, prepare and administer the budget.
- Recommend candidates for faculty appointment, retention, and promotion.
- Ensure faculty is evaluated: every year; by the nurse administrator or a nurse educator designated by the nurse administrator; in the areas of teaching ability and nursing knowledge and skills.
- Maintain policies or procedures that promote safe patient care during student clinical experiences.
- Participate in activities that contribute to the governance of the parent institution.
- Obtain and maintain clinical sites.
- Teach in classroom.
- Develop, improve, mentor, and role model faculty competencies.
- Maintain Program Evaluation Plan in constant readiness.
- Interview and advise student applicants.
- Increase student enrollment and diversity.
- Understand and use campus and corporate reporting systems appropriately and efficiently.

- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Three (3) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
- One (1) years full-time teaching experience or administering a nursing education program leading to licensure.
- Professional nurse licensure that is active and in good standing.
- Current Arizon RN licenses (or multi-state privilege to practice in AZ) and any other certification or crednetial as required by local, state or federal laws to work in the field.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer skills.
