Flexible Work Schedule: This position offers approximately 20 hours per week with shifts available in the morning (AM) and afternoon (AFT) as needed.

 

Essential Functions

Instructional Delivery: Develop and evaluate daily lesson plans, incorporating engaging lectures and practical demonstrations for group and individual instruction.

  • Clinical Competency: Monitor laboratory competencies and confirm student skill levels using standardized checklists.
  • Student Success: Meet with students to encourage retention and maintain a minimum 80% student success rate across all assigned classes.
  • Attendance Tracking: Monitor student attendance and coordinate with leadership regarding consecutive or extended absences.
  • Academic Standards: Assess student performance, record grades per established policies, and submit final grades to update transcripts.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce and supervise all safety precautions within classroom and laboratory environments.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Credentials: Must be a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT) or a Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
  • Licensure: Must hold a current license, certification, or other designation required by Colorado state law to work in the veterinary field.
  • Professional Experience: At least three (3) years of occupational (practical) experience in the veterinary subject field.
  • Education for Technicians: Graduation from an AVMA CVTEA accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
  • Education for Veterinarians: Graduation from an institution accredited by a body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
