I have updated the Registered Nurse (RN) - Substitute Clinical Instructor posting for the Aurora campus. I have streamlined the language to emphasize the "as-needed" nature of the role while maintaining the specific educational requirements mandated by the Colorado Board of Nursing (COBON).
Registered Nurse (RN) - Substitute Clinical Instructor (PRN)
Location: Aurora, CO | Campus: On-Site / Clinical Sites
Type: Part-Time / PRN (As-Needed Coverage)

Are you an experienced RN looking for a flexible way to inspire the next generation of nurses? Pima Medical Institute is seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our Practical Nursing faculty as Substitute Clinical Instructors.
This PRN role is designed for clinicians who want to focus purely on hands-on teaching and skill development without the commitment of a full-time faculty load. Why this role fits your life:
-
Flexibility: Provide coverage based on your availability and the program's needs.

Professional Legacy: Transition your years of "bedside wisdom" into a teaching credential.

-
Skill Instruction: Guide students through clinical experiences, tailoring the instruction to meet individual learning needs and program objectives.

Success Planning: Monitor student progress and collaborate with the Clinical Director to create Academic Success Plans when necessary.
-
Professional Modeling: Maintain a high standard of professional nursing behavior, serving as a role model for students and a liaison to clinical site personnel.
Who You Are
-
A Master Clinician: You are current in your practice and understand the fast-paced nature of modern nursing.
-
An Adaptive Educator: You can step into a classroom or clinical site and immediately provide high-value feedback and instruction.
-
A Mentor at Heart: You enjoy the process of "showing the ropes" and helping students build clinical confidence.
