Compensation: $23.73–$29.66/hour + CO Paid Sick Leave + Public Health Emergency Leave

About the Role
Join our team as a Substitute Veterinary Assistant Instructor and help shape the next generation of veterinary professionals! This role offers a flexible schedule—ideal for experienced veterinary technicians or educators seeking part-time work. You’ll deliver engaging lessons, mentor students, and ensure they meet program standards.
Key Responsibilities

Teach the Veterinary Assistant program using curriculum-aligned lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.

Evaluate and provide feedback on student work within 72 hours.

Collaborate with admissions, career services, and externship partners to support student success.

Address academic/behavioral concerns promptly and escalate to the Veterinary Technician Program Director as needed.

Maintain office hours, attend faculty meetings, and participate in professional development.

Enforce safety protocols for students, staff, and visitors.
Core Competencies

Expertise in veterinary assisting/technology.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program (or equivalent 4+ years’ experience).

3+ years’ practical experience as a veterinary assistant, technician, or veterinarian.

Strong communication skills (verbal/written).
Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of teaching experience in veterinary sciences.
Licensure/Certifications

Current DVM, CVT, or RVT license/certification (or state-equivalent).
