We are seeking a dedicated instructor to provide our Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed.

In this role, you won't just teach—you will inspire. You'll transform your real-world experience into engaging lessons, guide students through hands-on learning, and champion their success from the classroom to the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our instructional team, you will:

  • Develop & Deliver Engaging Curriculum: Create, implement, and evaluate dynamic lesson plans, lectures, and hands-on demonstrations that meet program objectives and prepare students for real-world scenarios.

  • Champion Student Success:

    • Proactively monitor student progress, provide individualized coaching, and implement strategies to support an 80% student success rate.

    • Act as a mentor, meeting with students to encourage persistence and celebrate achievements.

    • Manage student grades and records with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Foster a Hands-On Learning Environment:

    • Supervise and evaluate lab competencies, ensuring students master essential skill checklists in a safe, supportive setting.

    • Organize enriching experiences such as guest speaker sessions, field trips, and clinical visits to connect learning to career paths.

    • Potentially assist with externship site visits to observe and evaluate student performance in clinical settings.

  • Collaborate for Excellence: Partner with Program Directors and Student Services to address attendance concerns and ensure every student has the resources they need to thrive.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

  • An Associate degree from an AVMA CVTEA accredited program.

  • A current, active license as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical, hands-on experience in the veterinary field.

  • A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and sharing your knowledge with others.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
