In this pivotal role, you will be the key to helping students break through barriers. You won't just manage academic progress; you will be a trusted advisor, a compassionate problem-solver, and a vital link to essential community resources. You will empower students by connecting them with support for everything from tutoring to housing, childcare, and financial aid, ensuring that life's challenges don't stand in the way of their education.

SCHEDULE 

  • Mon-Fri 8 am – 5 pm (one late night per week a possibility)

Student Progress & Academic Monitoring 
• Analyze progress and monitor reports to ensure students maintain satisfactory academic progress and proper attendance.
• Advise students regarding academic, attendance, and programmatic concerns. 

Student Support & Personal Advocacy 
• Assist students in resolving personal problems as they relate to school.
• Provide students with resources, including but not limited to tutoring assistance, outside agencies that specialize in childcare services, housing, and financial resources.
• Assist students with electronic resources. 

Administrative & Compliance Management 
• Process Change of Status forms for all student courses reschedules, unsatisfactory academic progress, attendance and conduct warnings, leaves of absence (LOAs), withdrawals, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and serve as a resource regarding Pima Medical Institute policies, procedures, and guidelines. 

Student Discipline & Conflict Resolution 
• Resolve student conflicts; discipline students for misconduct; ensure disciplinary procedures are adhered to. Determine appropriate disciplinary action for student behavior. 

Collaboration & Communication 
• Collaborate with campus staff to resolve student concerns in placement, financial aid, and admissions.
• Serve as a liaison amongst students, faculty, and staff relative to their education program. 

Student Engagement & Onboarding 
• Assist the Campus Director in planning and implementing student activities such as graduations, student appreciation days, and monthly student recognition events.
• Conduct and coordinate the new student orientation program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Three years of experience advising students in a post-secondary education environment.

  • Management experience preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and word processing/computer skills.

  • Proficient in math.

  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.

Compensation and Benefits
