Position Summary

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and possess deep expertise in Title IV financial aid? Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dynamic Student Finance Coordinator to lead our campus financial services team!

In this key leadership role, you will coach a student-centered team, analyze financial aid dashboards for operational efficiency, and ensure full compliance with Title IV and federal regulations. By bridging the gap between Admissions, Student Services, and Corporate Financial Aid, you will help make higher education accessible for aspiring healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operational Operations:

  • Team Coaching: Train, mentor, and coach campus student finance staff into high performers to deliver premier customer service.

  • Dashboard Analytics: Monitor campus financial services performance metrics for accuracy, timeliness, and student processing efficiency.

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner closely with Admissions, Student Services, and Academic Program Directors to ensure a seamless student transition and resolve financing questions.

  • Workflow Support: Assist team members directly with day-to-day student financial aid processing and workflow components as needed.

Compliance & Regulatory Governance:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure team compliance with Title IV, state, accreditation, VA regulations, and institutional policies.

  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate and assist with corporate visits, internal audits, and external regulatory reviews of student financial aid files.

  • Campus Advising: Advise campus leadership on potential financial aid impacts resulting from proposed academic or instructional policy updates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Business, Administration, Liberal Arts, or Social Sciences from an institution recognized by the USDE (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Title IV Experience: Two to five (2–5) years of direct experience administering Title IV federal financial aid programs.

  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

  • DOE Access: Must maintain active, unencumbered access to Department of Education (DOE) databases/systems (e.g., NSLDS, COD).

  • Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency, multi-tasking skills, and 10-key calculator proficiency.

  • Equivalency: An equivalent combination of training, education, or relevant experience will be considered.
