Compensation: $31.00 – $38.78 per hour
Position Summary
Are you passionate about education and helping others achieve their academic goals? Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dynamic Admissions Representative to be the face of our San Antonio campus. In this role, you will play a crucial part in connecting with prospective students, understanding their career aspirations, and guiding them toward the right educational path.
The ideal representative is a passionate advocate for higher education who excels at consulting, building trusting relationships, providing educational guidance, and collaborating seamlessly with students, families, and team members.
Key Responsibilities

Student Recruitment & Proactive Outreach: Proactively engage prospective students through inbound and outbound calls, emails, texts, and other channels. Represent the institute at job fairs, career fairs, and high school visits to build a robust applicant pipeline. Initiate prompt contact with leads generated from web and marketing campaigns, and keep prospective students informed of future class start dates.

Applicant Advising & Admissions Process Management: Guide, advise, and interview prospective students to evaluate their fit for specific academic programs. Explain program details, admission requirements, and enrollment steps clearly. Manage the student journey from initial inquiry through their first day of class, setting clear expectations and facilitating communication with Financial Aid, Student Services, and other departments. Coordinate required entrance assessment testing with independent administrators.

Operational Excellence & Compliance: Utilize and maintain the CRM database, logging applicant information and updating statuses accurately. Track and analyze personal performance metrics (contacts, enrollments, starts) to meet or exceed key performance indicators. Maintain strict compliance with all PMI standards, accreditation guidelines, and federal/state regulatory bodies (such as the Department of Education).

Collaboration & Professional Development: Work closely with the Campus Director, Corporate Director of Admissions, and Financial Aid team to meet new student enrollment goals and establish eligibility. Maintain positive inter-departmental relationships to ensure smooth student transitions. Participate in scheduled evening and weekend rotations as required, remaining open to coaching, feedback, and fast-paced performance goals.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Three (3) years of education sales, admissions, or student recruitment experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (or any equivalent combination of training, education, and practical experience that meets the position standards).

Industry Background: Previous experience in private, proprietary higher education is strongly preferred.

Core Competencies: Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusting relationships; knowledge of customer service principles, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
