As a Clinical Instructor, you won't just be "at the bedside"—you will be the bridge between the classroom and the hospital floor. You’ll oversee student externships, coordinate with clinical sites across Albuquerque, and ensure our students are developing the high-level skills they need to save lives.

Minimum Requirements
- To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following:
- Credentials: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) New Mexico state license.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in hospital or clinical Respiratory Therapy, specifically including recent experience in Adult ICU, PICU, or NICU environments.
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (or equivalent verified training).
- Note: Candidates without an accredited degree must have at least four (4) years of verified job-related training.
- Communication: Proficiency in verbal and written communication; ability to interact professionally with hospital site administrators.
- Tech Skills: Familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What You’ll Do
- Clinical Coordination: Oversee student externships and arrange tailored clinical experiences that suit individual student needs.
- Student Supervision: Monitor student attendance and evaluate their hands-on performance against rigorous clinical standards.
- Skill Instruction: Teach the specific techniques and methods used in the Respiratory Therapy program, ensuring students stay up-to-date with modern practice.
- Site Relations: Serve as the primary contact between PMI and externship facilities, resolving any concerns in a constructive, professional manner.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities meet both institutional and hospital-site policies.
