As a Clinical Instructor, you are the bridge between the classroom and the hospital floor. You will oversee student externships at our partner clinical sites across Albuquerque, ensuring our students develop the high-level skills and professional judgment they need to save lives.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Coordination: Oversee student externships and ensure students are exposed to diverse and appropriate clinical experiences.

Student Supervision: Monitor student attendance at clinical sites and evaluate their hands-on performance against program standards.

Skill Instruction: Reinforce the specific techniques and methods taught in the program, ensuring students apply theory to real-world patient care.

Site Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between the campus and hospital-site administrators, resolving any clinical concerns professionally.

Compliance: Ensure all student activities adhere to both Pima Medical Institute policies and the specific regulations of the clinical facility.

Minimum Requirements

Credentials: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) New Mexico state license.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in hospital or clinical Respiratory Therapy.

Education: Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (or four years of verified equivalent training).

Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for student tracking and reporting.
Compensation
