Are you a seasoned RN ready to mentor the next generation of Licensed Practical Nurses? Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Classroom Instructor for our Practical Nursing (LPN) program in Aurora.
This role is designed for a nursing expert who wants to step away from the bedside and into a mentorship role. You will focus exclusively on classroom and skills lab instruction—helping future LPNs master the core nursing theory and hands-on skills they need to succeed in the healthcare field. We provide a supportive team structure where clinical instructors handle off-site rotations, allowing you to be fully present for your students in the classroom.
What Your Week Looks Like

Total Commitment: 20 hours per week.

Flexible Schedule: Available Monday – Thursday. We offer flexible morning or afternoon shifts to accommodate your professional life.

Instructional Focus: Delivering core LPN nursing theory in the classroom and leading high-fidelity simulation lab activities.
Key Responsibilities

LPN Curriculum Delivery: Prepare and deliver engaging lectures aligned with our approved Practical Nursing curriculum.

Clinical Skill Mastery: Facilitate simulation lab activities, providing hands-on instruction in a supportive, high-fidelity environment.

Student Advocacy: Support student progression through regular academic advising, performance check-ins, and proactive intervention.

NCLEX-PN Readiness: Coach and mentor students specifically toward successful NCLEX-PN completion.

Quality Improvement: Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to ongoing program excellence and CNEA accreditation standards.
Minimum Requirements

Licensure: Current, active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Colorado.

Education: Master’s in Nursing (MSN) preferred. BSN candidates with active enrollment in an MSN program will be considered with a commitment to completion.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience providing direct patient care.

Communication: Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to break down complex clinical concepts for future LPNs.

Preferred: Prior experience in teaching, precepting, or high-fidelity simulation.
