Job Title: Campus Receptionist 

Location: Albuquerque Campus 

SUMMARY 
Serves as the primary, on-site point of contact for our Albuquerque campus, providing a welcoming and professional first impression to all students, staff, and visitors. This is 100% in-person role essential for the daily operations of our fast-paced medical college. The receptionist supports academic and administrative functions through exceptional communication, organization, and multitasking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greet visitors, students, and staff in a welcoming and professional manner, assisting them with their requests.

  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls, determine the purpose of calls, route them to appropriate personnel, and take detailed messages.

  • Ensure the lobby and reception area are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

  • Distribute all incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail and packages.

  • Provide clerical support, including typing, data entry, and assisting with the filing, scanning, and copying of documents.

  • Assist the Office Manager and other departments with school events such as graduation, new student orientation, and appreciation events.

  • Send for and receive student transcripts and verifications, handling all documentation in compliance with institutional policies and FERPA regulations.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Campus Director, Office Manager, and department leads as needed.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework preferred.

  • One (1) year of experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service representative. Experience in a higher education or healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer literacy and word-processing proficiency required.

  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse population.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a busy environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment (phone system, copier, printer, postage machine, etc.).

  • Ability to maintain composure, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks amid frequent interruptions.

  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling student, employee, and institutional information.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Hiring Range: $15.29 - $18.35 per hour
