Compensation: $31.00 – $38.75 per hour

This temporary role is ideal for a professional seeking to balance clinical practice with academia. You will provide targeted instruction in our labs and classrooms for 6 to 12 hours per week, ensuring our students master the core imaging techniques and radiation safety protocols required for the field.

Essential Functions

  • Targeted Instruction: Implement daily lesson plans and deliver engaging daytime lectures; tailor instruction to meet specific student needs in X-ray lab techniques and radiology procedures.

  • Student Success: Maintain high success rates through guidance and encouragement; implement strategies to reduce withdrawals and support student retention during your assignment.

  • Academic Record Keeping: Maintain student grades and prepare reports for the semester end; monitor attendance and coordinate with leadership regarding student progress.

  • Clinical & Lab Evaluation: Conduct practical demonstrations and evaluate student performance in academic and lab settings to identify and address learning needs.

  • Mentorship: Advise students on program curriculum and provide professional insights into the diagnostic radiography field.

  • Compliance: Participate in assessment tasks as assigned by the Program Director to maintain JRCERT/accreditation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized body.

  • Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT/USDE recognized).

  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical diagnostic radiography experience.

  • Licensure: ARRT registration in Radiologic Sciences and current Texas state licensure (or equivalent).

  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Documented teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program.

  • Experience in academic advising or curriculum development.
