Instruct in the Nursing program to educate students in accordance with the curriculum, standards, and objectives. Will have variable classroom and/or clinical teaching workload, depending upon the number of students, the curriculum needs, level of student coursework, the number and geographic locations of clinical facilities and responsibilities related to both student and non student contact hours, in accordance with policies in the Employee Handbook, the Catalog and State Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations.

Job Title: Nursing Didactic Instructor (Part-Time)
 Location: Aurora, Colorado
 Schedule: Part-Time, Variable Hours (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM availability required)
 Compensation: $37.51 - $46.89 per hour

Job Summary: 
Pima Medical Institute's Aurora campus is seeking a part-time Nursing Didactic Instructor to provide high-quality instruction in our nursing program. This role involves teaching in classroom, simulation, and clinical settings, and contributing to curriculum development. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator with strong clinical experience, dedicated to student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans for didactic, simulation, and clinical instruction based on approved curriculum.

  • Provide academic advising and regular feedback to support student progression and success.

  • Supervise and evaluate students in various learning environments.

  • Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the Program Director.

  • Assist with student admission, progression, and graduation processes.

  • Mentor and orient new faculty members.

  • Help maintain skills lab inventory and recommend new educational resources.

  • Foster positive relationships with clinical site partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience as a nurse providing direct patient care.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience in a nursing education program.

  • Experience with simulation-based learning.
