Instruct and implement the Pharmacy Technician program to educate students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician Instructor to inspire and guide students through comprehensive pharmaceutical education, supporting their professional development and success.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to student needs and curriculum objectives

  • Create engaging instructional materials for semester-long programs

  • Monitor and manage student attendance, preparing weekly reports and coordinating with leadership for consistent engagement

  • Drive student success by:

    • Maintaining an 80% student retention rate

    • Conducting individual student support meetings

    • Implementing strategic interventions to reduce program withdrawals

  • Manage academic records, including:

    • Maintaining student grades

    • Preparing end-of-semester transcripts

    • Evaluating student performance and learning progress

  • Enhance learning experiences through:

    • Coordinating guest speakers

    • Organizing community field trips

    • Arranging pharmacy visits

  • Deliver dynamic lectures and practical demonstrations

  • Provide academic advising for Pharmacy Technician program students

  • Support program operations by assisting with:

    • Inventory management

    • Supply and equipment ordering

    • Student externship coordination

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program

  • OR Four years of job-related training and experience

Experience

  • Minimum three years of practical experience in pharmacy practice

  • Current professional license or certification

Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

  • Strong computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications in pharmacy education

  • Experience in curriculum development

  • Demonstrated commitment to student success
