As an Occupational Therapy Assistant Instructor, you are pivotal in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will share your expertise in therapeutic modalities, patient advocacy, and compassionate care to equip students with the skills they need to thrive as effective, entry-level Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Key Responsibilities

Instructional Delivery: Develop, implement, and evaluate daily lesson plans, lectures, and hands-on laboratory demonstrations that meet curriculum goals.

Student Success: Maintain a target 80% success rate for all classes; meet with students to provide academic advisement and implement strategies to reduce withdrawals.

Clinical Supervision: Lead practical sessions and monitor student competencies to ensure they are prepared for the rigors of the field.

Administrative Integrity: Accurately maintain student grades and attendance records; coordinate with the Associate Director regarding student retention and performance.

Program Development: Coordinate externships, participate in Advisory Board meetings, and engage in recruitment and marketing activities for the OTA program.

Collaborative Planning: Engage in projects, committee work, and program planning to ensure the department meets institutional and accreditation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Training: Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant occupational experience in the field.

Licensure: Current Nevada state licensure or credentialing as required by state regulations.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer applications.
