Job Title: Full-Time Medical Assistant Instructor

Location: San Antonio Campus
Schedule: Multiple shifts available (days)

About the Role:

Join our team as a Medical Assistant Instructor and play a key role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. You’ll design engaging lessons, mentor students, and ensure they gain the skills needed for success in the field.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans using diverse teaching methods tailored to student needs.

  • Evaluate and provide feedback on student work within 72 hours.

  • Advise students on academic/behavioral issues; escalate concerns to the Assistant Dean and Student Services Coordinator.

  • Maintain office hours for student support and supervise externships.

  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and campus events (graduations, workshops, etc.).

  • Organize guest speakers, field trips to clinics, and community service opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and academic standards.

  • Complete student documentation (attendance, incident reports, early alerts, etc.).

Core Competencies:

  • Expertise in Medical Assistant subject matter.

  • Ability to design effective learning experiences and assessments.

  • Strong classroom management and engagement skills.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and video-conferencing tools.

  • Commitment to professionalism and student success.

Supervisory Duties:

None.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of full-time occupational experience as a Medical Assistant.

  • Current CMA or RMA certification (unencumbered).

  • Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, online tools).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hiring Pay: $20.80–$24.92/hour (based on experience).
