Compensation: $22.88 – $27.46 per hour

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant Instructor to join our faculty at our Aurora campus. Key Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery & Student Support:

Engaging Teaching: Create and deliver interactive lesson plans tailored to diverse adult learning styles, covering clinical procedures, laboratory skills, and administrative topics.

Office Hours & Mentorship: Hold regular in-person office hours to support, advise, and mentor students through their academic journey.

Coursework Evaluation: Evaluate and grade student assignments, lab skills, and exams, delivering constructive feedback within 72 hours.

Externship Supervision: Guide and supervise students during their clinical externships, ensuring real-world readiness.
Academic Administration & Compliance:

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date student files, including attendance, grade books, incident reports, and early academic alerts.

Advising & Escalation: Address academic or behavioral concerns promptly, coordinating with the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator as needed.

Enrichment Activities: Organize guest speakers, clinic field trips, and community service initiatives to broaden student learning.

Safety & Security: Enforce campus safety guidelines, OSHA/HIPAA standards, and security protocols across all instructional settings.

Institutional Participation: Attend campus faculty meetings, advisory board discussions, workshops, professional development events, and graduations.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program recognized by the USDE or CHEA (or equivalent combination of formal training and experience).

Clinical Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of full-time practical work experience as a Medical Assistant.

Technical Proficiency: Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), video-conferencing tools, and basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:

Current, unencumbered national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Prior classroom teaching, clinical preceptor supervision, or employee training experience.
