You will lead students through the complexities of pharmacology, dosage calculations, and sterile compounding, ensuring they enter the workforce as accurate, safe, and compassionate professionals.
Essential Functions

Instructional Excellence: Plan and deliver engaging lectures and practical demonstrations that achieve specific objectives based on the established curriculum.

Student Success & Retention: Maintain a target 80% success rate for all classes; monitor attendance and implement proactive plans to reduce student withdrawals.

Clinical Evaluation: Assess student achievements in both the classroom and lab settings, providing the support and provisions necessary to meet individual learning needs.

Administrative Integrity: Maintain accurate student records, prepare weekly attendance reports for management, and manage student grades in accordance with policy.

Mentorship: Advise students on the Pharmacy Technician curriculum and career paths, fostering a professional environment that mirrors a modern pharmacy.

Program Collaboration: Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the program's instructional methods.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program recognized by the USDE or CHEA, OR a recognized hospital-based training entity.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in the Pharmacy Technician field.

Note: Instructors who did not graduate from an accredited program must have at least four (4) years of job-related training and experience.

Licensure: Current CPhT certification and Nevada State Board of Pharmacy registration/licensure as required by law.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer applications.
