The Director of Student Funding Solutions provides guidance and oversight to the alternative funding solutions arm of the Financial Services team. Focusing on a “Title IV last” mentality, this role works to determine ways to leverage alternative funding, including but not limited to workforce, employer, and scholarship funding. This position supports PMI’s companywide workforce solutions strategy and supports the Financial Aid Operations and Financial Aid Compliance arms of the Financial Services team by bringing innovative, strategic options to the table and creating a student-centric experience for funding solutions so that students can focus on what’s really important: their educational journey.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership and direction relating to student funding, including strategic planning and operational management.
  • Leverage a centralized student support model to make access to alternative funding solutions as seamless as possible.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and technology to facilitate efficient and accurate service delivery.
  • Work in lock-step with the Director of Financial Services to ensure successful management of student financial aid, scholarship packaging, awarding processes, and workforce funding opportunities, including monitoring eligibility, disbursement, and reporting of funds.
  • Focus on ways to reduce student OOP via private funding in the spirit of mitigating student debt and eventual bad debt.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Admissions, Student Affairs, and Operations) to support enrollment and retention goals through alternative funding solutions and strategies.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for senior executives and support the Director of Regulatory & Compliance with reporting for external agencies as required.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in student funding, financial aid, and higher education regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success and funding solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  •  Minimum ten (10) years of financial services management experience.
  •  Minimum three (3) years of workforce experience. CWDP possession and understanding of CWDP expectations are necessary.
  •  Working extensively within centralized financial services, including packaging, second-level review, disbursements, R2T4s, and financial aid regulatory reporting
  •  Eligible to work within financial aid programs, including TIV
  • Demonstrated networking experience, including building professional relationships with employers, community partners, or stakeholders to support job placement initiatives.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including fluency with CRM systems, databases, and reporting tools.
  •  Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Bachelor's Degree from an institution accredited by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  •  Reside within 25 miles of a campus location to ensure timely on-site support.

  • Hiring Range - $148,865 to $193,525
