Key Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery & Curriculum Planning:

Dynamic Teaching: Design and deliver engaging daily lesson plans, classroom lectures, and practical demonstrations aligned with program objectives.

Lab Supervision: Lead lab sessions, demonstrate proper scanning procedures, provide hands-on assistance, and strictly enforce laboratory safety protocols.

Enrichment Activities: Coordinate guest lectures, community service opportunities, and clinical site visits; may assist with student externship coordination.
Student Success & Academic Support:

Academic Advising: Evaluate student performance, adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles, and maintain office hours to advise students on curriculum progression.

Retention Management: Proactively monitor performance and attendance to maintain an 80%+ student success rate across all courses.

Early Intervention: Collaborate with Student Services and the Associate Director to support at-risk students (e.g., course averages below 77% or consecutive absences).

Grade & Record Management: Maintain accurate student grades per institutional policies, submit weekly attendance reports, and prepare final grades at course completion.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree from an academic institution accredited by an agency recognized by the USDE or CHEA.

Clinical Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of practical, hands-on occupational experience as a Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist.

Required Certification: Active Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential through ARDMS.

Concentration Credentials: Active credential in Abdomen (AB) and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN). (Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT] preferred).

Licensure: Active Washington state licensure or certification as required by local, state, or federal laws.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and educational technology.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
