Provide support to the Dental Hygiene Program Clinic in clinic endeavors in accordance with the curriculum standards and programmatic objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

  • Address clinic information inquiries both in person and over the telephone.

  • Adhere to HIPAA standards to maintain patient confidentiality and data protection.

  • Maintain accurate filing of records and update patient information as needed.

  • Manage and document accounts receivable and accounts payable.

  • Prepare bank deposit slips and ensure delivery to the designated person for deposit.

  • Understand and apply dental insurance procedures and policies.

  • Provide regular performance updates to the Program Director or Clinical Director.

  • Supervise student front office rotations.

  • Perform various administrative duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • At least one (1) year of dental receptionist experience, preferably with familiarity in using dental software.

  • Proficiency in computer and word processing tasks.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education that meets the minimum qualifications.

  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
