Location: Pima Medical Institute - Houston Campus | On-Site
Position Type: Part-Time (4–10 Hours/Week, Fridays Only)
Compensation: $48.01 – $62.41 per hour
Pima Medical Institute is seeking a dedicated Clinical Dentist to support our Dental Hygiene Program at our Houston campus. In this vital role, you will provide essential dental services while collaborating with students, instructors, and clinical staff in a dynamic educational environment.
The ideal candidate is a licensed dentist passionate about mentorship, ready to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and eager to help shape the next generation of dental professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive dental services within the dental hygiene clinic and supervise care during medical emergencies.
- Supervise, evaluate, and mentor student dental hygienists and dental assistant externs in clinical practice.
- Prescribe and oversee radiographic and other diagnostic services per Texas State Board regulations.
- Provide didactic and/or laboratory instruction as assigned by the Program Director.
- Support clinic operations and participate in clinical meetings and in-service training.
Minimum Requirements:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Texas.
- 3+ years of clinical experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a clinical teaching, supervisory, or mentoring role highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with computer applications.
Compensation & Benefits:
