Instruct and implement the Dental Assistant program to educate students by the curriculum standards and objectives.

When applying, please include your availability. We offer a variety of shift options, including 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Evaluate and grade classwork, assignments, and papers within 72 hours.

  • Address academic or behavioral concerns with students, escalating issues to the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator as needed.

  • Maintain face-to-face office hours to guide and support students.

  • Supervise students during externships.

  • Review and recommend updates to course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and handouts, through the approved process.

  • Complete all required documentation, including student files, attendance records, incident reports, and early alerts.

  • Periodically assess facilities and equipment to ensure alignment with current dental assisting practices and suggest modifications as needed.

  • Enforce safety and security protocols for all students, staff, and visitors.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • None.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a recognized Dental Assisting training program with 2 years of experience, or a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on training and experience for those without an accredited Dental Assistant diploma.

  • Knowledge of state regulations governing Dental Assisting programs.

  • Proficiency in four-handed and/or six-handed dentistry techniques, both theoretical and clinical.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid license, certification, or other credentials necessary under local, state, or federal laws for Dental Assisting.

 

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly Rate: $22.80 - $27.46

  • Includes Colorado Paid Sick/Leave and Public Health Emergency benefits.
