Instruct and implement the Dental Assistant program to educate students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives. Provide leadership to program faculty and oversight of the quality and integrity of the Dental Assistant program.

Schedule: 21 hrs/week

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Program Oversight:

Facilitate advisory board meetings; report on student progress, externships, and community feedback.

Lead curriculum reviews and recommend updates during revision cycles.

Orient new hires and mentor faculty.

Teaching & Student Support:

Deliver dynamic lessons using varied teaching methods.

Provide timely feedback (within 72 hours) on assignments and clinical work.

Advise students on academic/behavioral concerns.

Administrative & Compliance:

Update Program Effectiveness Plans (PEP) annually.

Document student progress, attendance, and incidents.

Ensure safety standards and supervise externships (if applicable).

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program OR 3+ years of clinical experience.

3+ years of practical dental assisting experience.

CDA, RDA, or dentist licensure (state-compliant).

Expertise in four/six-handed dentistry principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of teaching experience (higher ed preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $23.73 – $29.66/hour
