Facilitate externship placement for all certificate program students, assist all graduates with procurement of employment, oversee all efforts relating to externship and job placement to ensure positive placement outcomes; evaluate and develop career services staff on a consistent basis.

Key Schedule Requirement

This role maintains regular office hours 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, with one scheduled late night 7 pm each week to accommodate:
• Evening student career workshops
• Employer networking events
• Graduate support sessions

(Specific late night will be determined in coordination with team needs)

?? Comfortable driving to employer sites across North County (valid CA license required)

Key Responsibilities

?? Graduate Placement
• Achieve 70%+ placement rate for PMI San Marcos graduates
• Host bi-monthly job fairs with regional employers (e.g., Tri-City Medical Center, Palomar Health)
• Teach resume/interview workshops tailored to California healthcare markets

?? Employer Partnerships
• Cultivate relationships with San Diego County’s top medical employers
• Coordinate externships at 50+ local clinics/hospitals
• Lead Advisory Board meetings with SoCal healthcare leaders

?? Student Success
• Guide students through CA-specific certification/licensing processes
• Monitor externships at sites from Vista to Poway
• Track graduate outcomes using our digital placement platform
