The Hybrid Online Instructor role is designed to support our hybrid learning program, which includes both online and in-person instruction for students. This role involves teaching a full course load each sequence and collaborating with program leadership to achieve programmatic goals.

SUMMARY The Hybrid Online Instructor role is an integral part of our hybrid learning program, which combines both online and in-person instruction to deliver a comprehensive educational experience for students. This position involves teaching a full course load each sequence while collaborating with program leadership to support programmatic goals.

SCHEDULE This role is part-time, as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Instruct students in foundational courses, including mathematics, computers, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, study skills, and first aid.

  • Provide detailed feedback on assignments and offer support to students who are struggling with the course content.

  • Maintain an acceptable pass rate for all classes taught within the program.

  • Uphold grading standards and report final grades at the end of each course.

  • Engage in retention efforts by proactively contacting students who are not actively participating in courses via phone, text, or email. Advise students on academic progress and course participation. Respond to communications within 24 hours and grade assignments within 48 hours of their due date.

  • Refer students with queries regarding financial aid, transcripts, or other concerns to the appropriate personnel.

  • Monitor online student progress and collaborate with campus faculty and administration to support at-risk students.

  • Participate in professional development and continuing education activities as required.

  • Attend regular faculty meetings, either synchronously or asynchronously.

  • Stay informed on professional trends and advancements in technology.

  • Provide substitute or emergency coverage for Career Prep courses, as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

  • Three (3) years of teaching or instructional experience.

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology, demonstrated through post-secondary education or job experience in the subject matter.

  • Current teaching license, certification, or other designation as required by local, state, or federal laws.

  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.

  • Experience with online instruction.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and other computer/internet applications.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Hiring range: $21.57–$26.96 per hour
